Geotagging my photos in Linux with the RoyalTek RGM3800
Well its full name is the “RoyalTek SiRF Star III GPS Receiver + Data-Logger RGM3800″ but that was too long for the title. I am using amd64 Gentoo Linux. Now, I should thank Miguel for his blog post on the RoyalTek RGM3800 which helped a lot with me getting this all to work on Gentoo Linux.
Things you need to do:
- Ensure the PL2303 USB driver is installed (I used the one in the kernel)
- Download rgm3800py – “Access Royaltek RGM-3800 and compatible GPS datalogger”
- Run ;)
