Paris – March 2009
This post as taken ages to write but finally put some more time in to finish it today, I should have written it earlier so that I actually remembered what we did in more detail, but nevertheless here are some of the photos :)

We were awake at 4am. I drove to Bristol airport where we then got through a busy (for that time of the morning) security, over to Paris and got a train to Gare du Nord from the airport. We then walked to our hostel with blue skies in the glorious sunshine in this beautiful city.

When we arrived at the Peace and Love Hostel, our room was on the 8th (or so) floor, so we walked up lots of stairs, continually turning/spinning while travelling up the narrow, tall, thin staircase, to get to our room. It was a bit tiring but we got there:

We went to the Maison EuropĂ©enne de la photographie (photo gallery), some of the exhibitions were really good, others sucked, but then that’s art. We also walked around a really nice square as we walked, exploring some of the streets of Paris. We had lunch in a nice restaurant there too.

This is a panorama I stitched together using Hugin of the view from room at night. We were very near the Jaures Metro stop.

That night we were kept up until 4am by some drunk Irish people in the rooms around us which was, well, an experience.
The next day we were up and out for breakfast, pain au chocolat and a coffee…

We spent the day walking around the streets of Paris, and spent a while in a nice square.
