Another Walk one Evening

I went for another walk the other day when the days were clear and sunny; the weather is slowly getting worse now :(

Never Eat Shredded Wheat…

Autumn is on its way…

More rubbish being left behind.

This place is quite nice during the evening sun; next time the weather is nice I think I will bring my 70-200mm [...]

Keep Britain Tidy

I have started a little photo project as of the other day. My photos for this are basically “interesting” documentary shots of litter/rubbish/trash which has been dropped or otherwise made its way into the world. Oh yeah, also once you are done taking photos, pick it up and bin it if you are able.
I have [...]

Using the GIMP

I was going through some photos I took the other day while at home and found one I quite liked. The only problem was either the sky was blown or the red tractor etc was too dark.
So, the solution was to take three (-1, 0 and +1.25) “exposures” from the RAW file and combine them [...]

Images of St Agnes taken with a Praktica TL5B

While at home last week I used dad’s film camera to take images of St Agnes, Cornwall. The camera was a Praktica TL 5B, I was using a 50mm f1.8 prime lens and some expired, ISO 200, 35mm colour film.
My first shot (that came out) was of Stippy Stappy, a famous landmark in the village. [...]

Motorbike

Tried using the flashes outside again, this time on my brother and his bike.

A shot (taken by dad) of the two of us.
I think the one below was the best of the lot; taken with the Canon 10-22mm using an silver umbrella to the left and a bare flash on the floor.

Some of the other [...]

More Photos from St Agnes beach (Trevaunance Cove)

Here are some photos from my time back home :)
Dangerous Cliffs Keep Clear!

St Agnes Harbour again:

Three pigeons and some nice looking sea.

Looking back towards the beach from part of the cliff that I was walking along.

A shot of some of the headlands further north.

I like the contrast of these, sharp, jagged and bright rocks set [...]

Canon EOS 300V and some expired film (part 0)

Thanks to a free-cycler in Bath I have got a bunch of expired 35mm film for Photosoc. As Photosoc has some film cameras I thought I would grab one and be the first to test out the film.
Picked up Photosoc’s Canon EOS 300V today (took a few pictures of it, see one below), shame the [...]

Leaving IPL

One of the leaving cakes I made:

Made with soft brown sugar and lemon zest and juice also contained dates and some almonds.

It was pretty damn good.
Two photos of the leaving drinks at lunch…

Followed by our last evening of Pétanque this season.

Nope, look we are closer.

Rain, but it didn’t stop play.
