Another sunset but quite a different look

Well this is a post and run, no time for words, well apart from these of course…

Crazy, flash + long exposure

Sunday

Out for a quick walk around town to do some things, was a nice clear, bright, contrasty afternoon.

The SouthGate development in Bath is finally starting to take shape.

Some random wall somewhere, I like the shadows and yellow lines.

Nice bright red door.

One of a little clothes shoot we did.

Then Gratin for dinner :D

It was very nice.

Another July Sunset

Went out to my favourite spot for more sunset photos. Here is what I came back with, I quite like them.

After getting back I had more of the marrow-sized courgette for dinner.

Picture just for Rob who wanted to know what happened to it after being photographed last time.

Courgettes trying to be Marrows

Camera Phone shot of Mike shooting himself with an oversized Courgette

Some shots of the marrow Courgette right before being prepared for cooking:

P.S. Thanks to Clive T for the Courgette!

Around Falmouth

Went for a drive/walk near Falmouth with a friend who I’ve not seen in ages.
I am wondering if it is better to put the text or an image above or below… any thoughts get in touch.
So, on with the show.

Maybe underneath is better, so you can see the image then read what ever it is [...]

Yet more of Cornwall - Poly Joke (nr Newquay)

Poly Joke is a little ‘unknown’ beach next to Crantok in Cornwall. At the start of our trip the weather looked changeable but we went out regardless.
Actually it turned out quite nice.

One of the nicer shots I took of the beach its self.

Switching to the 70-200 to capture some detail I snapped this girl carrying [...]

More of Cornwall

Having finished processing the photos I took on Sunday (13th) I thought I would create another photo journey through my day.
I started the day in Idless Woods near Truro.

Again most shots are with my new 50mm f1.4.

The weather was quite changeable during the morning, cloudy but with enough gaps for the sun to poke through.

I [...]

A Cornish Sunset

Just managed to make the sunset on Saturday, wish I would have got there a few minutes sooner, I just caught the tail end of this:

I love the way those clouds are backlit and offset against the larger bank of dark cloud.

About 20 minutes later it was all over.

More pictures from Cornwall soon.

The walk around Bath on Sunday

I thought I would try putting some of the pictures together to tell a little story of my walk, in between the showers, last Sunday (06/07/2008). Oh and also to show off the pictures taken with my nice new Canon 50mm f1.4 USM :)
I eat some lunch

I then take my jacket

and head into town.
Not long [...]

Canadian Female Street Magician in Bath

Update: Someone on flickr pointed me towards her website: http://www.billykiddshow.com/
While walking around Bath this afternoon I stopped to watch this magician perform, she was pretty good. She asked if anyone had seen a magician before (3 ppl put their hands up) then she asked if anyone had seen a female magician (no one put their [...]

Nice view 2697

Some shots from my trip to Stockholm, Sweden…
This was taken in “old town” an old area of Stockholm

This was taken just after lunch on Sunday, not quite sure where it was but it was somewhere south/south-west of Stockholm.

The trip was pretty good, I got a lot of good experience, it exceeded my expectations and was [...]
